Brokers that are looking to grow their business should engage social media, according to Genworth.
The Adviser is reporting that a recent study by Genworth found 72% cent of brokers believe 'word of mouth' is the best driver of business.
Yet, just 2% of respondents to the Home Grown Report, viewed social media as an important tool to their business.
"Social media can act as online 'word of mouth', provided it is used in the right way," Genworth's chief commercial officer Bridget Sakr told the publication.
"Brokers that embrace social media can use it to promote their business to people they would otherwise not come into contact with. It presents endless business opportunities."
