Team RAMS finishing last year's event
One of the teams training for Queensland's biggest bike ride - the Santos GLNG Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle Challenge - is a group of more than 20 riders from RAMS, including local Brisbane franchisees.
This is the third consecutive year the RAMS team will participate in the 100km event to raise funds for heart disease and diabetes.
At last year's challenge the RAMS team made a $6000 donation to the cause - the fourth biggest team fundraiser in the event.
More than 10,000 cyclists are expected to take part in this year's 100km challenge.
Organised annually by Bicycle Queensland, the event has raised more than $1 million for Diabetes Queensland and the Heart Foundation.
The event rolls off on October 7 with a 15km traffic-free ride along the smooth South East busway.
