One non-bank lender has responded to market share growth by beefing up its business personnel in one of the country's most active states.

Australian First Mortgage has appointed Melanie Davis to the position of business manager for New South Wales.

Director Iain Forbes said as AFM continued to grow its need to have experienced staff would continue as well.

“To promote AFM to the many aggregators on our panel, as well as the smaller groups,” he said.

Ms Davis comes to AFM with many years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

“Melanie has worked for many leading organisations which include the banks as well as the non-bank sector,” said Forbes.

AFM recently launched funding to the SMSF in respect of both residential and commercial properties.

It also expanded its product range to provide funding for properties under the National Rental Affordability Scheme.
