State Custodians Mortgage Company isn't a big bank nor is it interested in gimmicks or hollow promises, according to its director of operations Heidi Armstrong.
"But when our customers talk, we listen," Ms Armstrong said following the news that the non-bank's standard variable loan has been crowned Mortgage of the Year 2012.
State Custodians also took top honours in six other categories at the Your Mortgage Magazine Awards 2012, including Non-Bank Lender of the Year 2012.
Ms Armstrong said winning the awards confirmed the strength, diversity and customer service of the company.
"These outstanding wins are a testament to the breadth and scope of our home loans and we are proud to get such positive reinforcement and industry recognition," she added.
"Whether it's a first home loan or a loan to refinance, we developed our home loans with only our customers in mind," Ms Armstrong said.
Since opening in 2006, State Custodians has won numerous awards and accolades, including Money Magazine's Best Non-Bank Lender in 2011.
