Fortifying its commitment to the non-bank lending channel, Australian First Mortgage has made yet another strategic appointment.

This time the board has promoted David White to the role of joint managing director.

White is a founding director and shareholder of AFM, and he will now take on a greater role in the strategic direction of the business.

Managing director Tanya White said this new role not only acknowledges David White's commitment to the organisation, but it also demonstrates the board's confidence in him.

David White said the "new era" of change at AFM is exciting.

"AFM is here for the long haul showcasing a strong business, solid personnel and products that are competitive and innovative," he added.

"Being part of a flexible team allows this business to embrace new opportunities - many of which are presently underway," Mr. White said.

AFM recently launched the SMSF product range for residential and commercial lending and is presently working on new technology to improve its footprint with brokers.
